Tournament on judo has passed

On Saturday, June 22, judo tournament was held.
There participated sportsmen from 5 countries: Lithuania, Belarus, Latvia, Portugal and Czech Republic.

The judo tournament cannot pride with participation of famous sportsmen, because mainly the participants were young sportsmen. However, there were two participants of World Championship: Kaspars Biezais from Latvia – his highest achievement is 5 place in IBSA World Championship, and Belarus sportswoman Arina Kachan, who has won silver in IBSA Women World Championship. From Lithuania most potential sportsmen were Renaldas Žižys and Osvaldas Bareikis, who have participated in IBSA Europe Championships, but so far have not won any prizes.

To the IBSA Europe Championship, which will be held this year, Lithuania is going to delegate two sportsmen, who have participated in this tournament –  Osvaldas Bareikis and Saulius Narūnas.

In this judo tournament the sportsmen competed in 6 weight categories:
Up to 60 kg – winner is Vladzislau Revenka from Belarus;
Up to 66 kg – winner is Miguel Vieira from Portugal;
Up to 73 kg – winner is Aliaksandr Kazlou from Belarus;
Up to 90 kg – winner is Kaspars Biezais from Latvia;
In category “Youth up to 50 kg” winner is Michal Motrinec from Czech Republic;
In category “Children up to 40 kg” winner is Karolina Voiciukaitė from Lithuania.

Tomorrow the “Šaltinis Games” chess tournament begins, in which there will participate as many as almost 40 chess-players, and on the next weekend a goalball tournament will take place, in which 7 teams will take part.
